“God called me to Twa. That’s the short version and simplest way to describe how I came to be part of the team at Twakutukuza Trust, after initially joining as a volunteer in January 2018.
Aside from making my communication and administrative skills (and musical skills) useful at Twa, I’m also learning so much about how to support cancer patients with their emotional and spiritual needs.
Prior to joining the Twa Team, I had sang in seven of the annual concerts held at the end of every October. Beyond raising funds from the Twa concerts, I had no idea how much more Twa was doing, through other programs, to support cancer patients in Kenya.
Each day at Twa is one of trusting in God’s provision and seeking His wisdom to work as a team to deliver the much needed services and support to our clients.
It is exciting, sometimes challenging, walking the Twa journey but, I look forward to seeing how much more the Lord will do for cancer patients, their families, as well as for all our volunteers and supporters, through this ministry.
I’m also a wife and co-director of a creative design communications consultancy with my husband Irungu, and a mama to our beautiful daughter, Malindi.”
